With the only store, showroom and design studio located in the upscale “Nine Streets” area of Amsterdam, DENHAM jeans are to Amsterdam what True Religion Brand, Citizens of Humanity, and Antik Denim are to American upscale denim connoisseurs. It is no surprise why people pay a pretty penny for the Denham’s unique creations (jeans run up to 140 to 350 Euros and jackets run up to 500 Euros): his adoration and understanding of the make up of denim is clearly embodied in each of his designs.
The newest women’s Genie A11 denim Harem Pants are one of my favorite, available in chambray, white, black, and washed denims - chosen from the best Japanese and Italian dyes. Staying true to the DENHAM motto “the truth is in the details,” the low crotch, tailored buttons and soft texture modernize the traditional rugged washed denim, making the jeans feel non-abrasive and super-comfortable. Paired with heels and a stylish top, the Genie A11s are guaranteed to turn heads and inspire a new wave of and appreciation for the traditional harem pant.
Jason Denham’s creativity extends to his perfectly-sculpted men’s jeans and exquisitely-tailored denim jackets, like the Tailor, which was designed with the male physique in mind but can easily add to the perfect finishing touch to any woman’s outfit too. Although DENHAM is a not a household name in the US, it should be dually noted whenever upscale tailored denim is mentioned.
