Hyundai created this amazing video for the Accent, utilizing 3D projection mapping. It highlights the new slogan “New Thinking. New Possibilities.” and showcases the Accent. My only question is “where did the car go at the end?” Enjoy.

For video game fans everywhere, this new web series will definitely catch your attention, already generating more than 1.8 million just on YouTube for its trailer.
If you’ve ever owned a game system, you’re aware of the Mortal Kombat series. From a SNES (Super Nintendo) game in 1993 to all video game platforms today, and even movies, this brand has come a long way.
Its first few movies were terrible, as some often are, because of the adaptation from video game to movie, with an “it’s so bad it’s funny” effect to them. Now, its new web series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, is trending — for good reason. It boasts a compelling story, great cast (including Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan) and impressive special effects.
The back story: a trailer for a Mortal Kombat reboot — Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, by Kevin Tancharoen — hit the internet. The teaser/trailer was a pitch to Warner to relaunch the series, but with a realism that past Mortal Kombat movies never really had, adding a darker tone for moody, dramatic effect.
This trailer was met with much fan acclaim, although it was left in the dark for quite some time. Warner was interested enough to commission Tancharoen, with Machinima.com, to produce the first ever Mortal Kombat live action web series. The first episode was posted online on April 11th, and already boasts more than 1.8 million views.

Polaroid announced the first of its collaboration with Lady Gaga yesterday: a photo printer that is apparently portable, a pair of sunglasses that can take pictures and a reworking of the traditional Polaroid camera.
A year ago, Polaroid announced a collaboration with Lady Gaga as the company’s creative director, and whose influence apparently produced the three products the company announced on Thursday. As one might expect, Polaroid positioned the three products – the GL10, GL20, and GL30 – as “objects of desire,” and not just three gadgets.
The most conventional product is the GL10 printer, which the Lady Gaga claimed would allow users to wirelessly print immediately. “I love all the Polaroid Grey Label products but I’m the most excited about the printer,” she said. “This product will revolutionize how we see photos. Your images will no longer die a death on your cell phone or digital camera.”
The GL10 can print from mobile phones wirelessly via Bluetooth and from most digital cameras, Windows PCs and Macs via a USB cable. And Polaroid is also launching mobile apps to add borders and other features, the company said.
The latest installment from The Creators Project narrows in on the innovative creations of James Powderly. Along with Evan Roth, founded and runs Graffiti Research Lab; LED Throwies; L.A.S.E.R. Tag; EyeWriter Project, we get a better understanding of Powderly’s exceptional skills as he develops a special “tag” unit for now bedridden LA graffiti pioneer Tempt.
The Creators Project: So, James, how do you define your job? It seems to defy categorization.
James Powderly: I guess I’m a designer, somewhere between an artist and an engineer. I’ve had a bunch of jobs over the last ten years but they’ve always been focused on technology in some way. Over the last four years or so I’ve primarily worked on two projects; both of them are engineering projects involving technologies with creative applications. I’m not one to play video games but when Call of Duty releases each time, I gotta get my hands on a joystick and get in a few hours. As a iPhone user, I’m excited about the new iPhone 4 that’s coming out this summer, my only issue with Apple is how fast they release new versions/upgrades to their devices. I feel that consumers don’t get at least a full year to appreciate and enjoy their phone but hey, that might be just me.
Advertising Age (AdAge) was nice enough to highlight seven features about the new iPhone. Check them about after the jump and make your decision when it releases. Continue reading “Seven Things You Need to Know About iPhone 4” »
From legal disputes with Gizmodo to now announcing plans to make a solar powered iPhone, Apple continues to pass by their competition with their chin aimed high in the sky. For those of us with iPhones, we know the pain of having your phone die half way through out the day if you’re a heavy user, so Apple has applied for a patent for a solar powered iPhone. The iPhone’s energy collection cells will be encased within the body of the phone. Patently Apple reports that the recent switch over of the iPhone’s backside substrate to a non-metal surface could lead the way for double-sided solar panels right behind the display, which will allow it to retain its sleek look.
