The decision to release the AW11 Fred Perry/Amy Winehouse Collaboration by Amy’s family after her tragic death in August 2011 and the commitment to launch the SS12 collection has proved a fitting tribute to the iconic singer with both ranges well received by fans and Amy aficionados. The SS12 was the last collection that Amy worked on and she again designed a range of clothes that was very typically Amy; sexy, stylish and individual.

Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle has collaborated with Dior to create a limited collection of accessories. To create the range, Anselm reinterpreted classic Dior accessories by adding more modern urban details. The bags, shoes, scarves and wallets come in bright colors and shiny metallic leathers. The highlighted piece is the fluorescent camouflage print, used to create a number of bags. The line is reminiscent of Steven Sprouse’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
All of the creations are available until March in Dior stores globally, and in four multi-brand stores in New York, Milan, Paris and Tokyo: Saks Fifth Avenue, La Rinascente, Galeries Lafayette and Isetan.
In this Pre-Fall 2012 line, Lim reinterprets more basics in a postmodern look, adding some irreverent hints of pop culture.
Inspired by characters from comics, Philip Lim has designed a collection for superheroines. There are layered coats, transparent pants, bermudas with lots of silky layers and whole garments covered with comic-inspired prints. The yellow, red and black in the prints contrast with the more muted fall tones in the line: gray, ocher, aubergine and petrol blue.
The American designer’s iconic pleated ankle-length pants are back, as simple and clean as ever, accompanied by shoes ranging from chic to punk. Lim’s versatility is reflected in his details, like reversible coats made of innovative materials and convertible zipped jackets.

For Spring 2012, Cynthia Mittweg, Creative Director of AIKO, will launch JEUNESSE, a brand that has been developed to purely experiment with collaborations with a focus on one specialty item per partnership.
Stylist Cristina Erhlich, who dresses Penelope Cruz, Amy Adams, Isabel Lucas, among others, will be the first collaborator for JEUNESSE. The collection will be dedicated to the iconic silk blouse, highlighting Erhlich’s obsession with classic, vintage blouses from houses such as YSL, Chloe and Christian Dior.
“I had decided to launch with the blouse because after having come out of an extremely saturated jeans and t-shirt generation, I feel as though women are enjoying luxury and dressing up on some level again. Cristina has an incredible collection of vintage blouses and wears them often,” explained Mittweg.
