Scoop NYC will launch the New Balance 400 sneaker, previously only available in the UK, at locations across the country on February 2, 2012, bringing the renowned style and quality of New Balance 400′s to consumers in the US.

The New Balance 400, available exclusively at Scoop NYC boutiques, began as a racing shoe with roots in the UK.  It has been reintroduced in a vibrant yellow and blue retro palette that will capture the attention of athletes and fashion-forward shoppers alike.  Lightweight nylon is accented with suede details and a patent leather “N” logo and heel kick, continuing New Balance’s tradition of the finest construction and materials.

Scoop NYC’s Facebook page will celebrate the launch of the New Balance 400′s to the US with a giveaway sweepstakes for a free pair.  The sweepstakes will occur on Scoop NYC’s Facebook page between January 25-February 1, 2012.

It all began when Nigel came across some vintage British Army combat boots from World War I. The boots were in excellent condition — it was hard to believe that they were 100 years old — and they captivated him. Although working in different fields, both Nigel and Red Wing have delved into the heritage of their respective fields for many years, shining a light on them, and paying attention to both detail and overall quality. Sharing this common approach, they felt deep respect for each other. Nigel’s passion about this boot led Red Wing to engage in a joint collaboration of an unprecedented level for the shoemaker.

Converse focuses on 2012, with the year being the Chinese Year of the Dragon, .Converse made their presence felt with their black model for the Chinese Zodiac, the shoemaker offers a look into an accompanying release. Featured on the Chuck Taylor All Star Leather Hi silhouette, Converse alters the upper to replicate ancient porcelain dragon decorations, complete with a wonderfully detailed dragon-shaped eyelet, red and black leather emblem, and contrasting black laces. The all-over porcelain print exclusives, along with other Year of the Dragon releases, will be available at select Converse retailers starting this week.

Hand-crafted in the Italian city of Montebelluna, which is well known for its artisanal, hiking and ski-boot craftsmen, the Firenze boot is Diemme’s version of a round-toed work boot and is laden with practical features. Diemme have created this seven-hole boot with uppers cut from thick, full-grain, premium leather. A durable, double-stitched construction, the upper is welted to a market-leading Vibram Morflex sole unit and is finished with hiking laces and an embossed Diemme logo on the ankle.

A new addition to Nike’s exclusive QuickStrike line for Spring/Summer 2012, the Aina Chukka has been re-imagined in premium materials suitable for the brand’s top tier. A vintage-inspired design that incorporates elements of both a traditional chukka and moccasin, the Aina is original and distinctive.

Crafted from premium leather, the trainer features a woven construction and is detailed with moccasin-styled leather strips at the heel counter and down each side. Fully-lined, for comfort and durability, the Aina features a contrasting leather-trimmed midsole and is built onto a hard-wearing vulcanized sole unit. Finished with a square leather lace and a heel tab, they are a detailed addition to the QuickStrike line.

For autumn/winter Marc Jacobs fuses both rugged and elegant elements of early 20th Century attire. This classic lace up boot mixes these traditional inspirations to good effect and brings us the designer’s own distinctive and contemporary twist.

The boot is cut from coarsely-grained premium leather in a dark shade of grey. Clean in silhouette, the boot is Goodyear-welted to a heavy-duty, thick hiking sole in a distinctive shade of purple. The piece is tied together in classic Marc Jacobs’ style with an olive hiking lace and a tan welt that ties together the color-scheme nicely.
