Frigg is a piece of furniture designed for only one or two people by designer Marianne Kleis Jensen. Here you can withdraw from the world, be yourself, feel safe, rest and recharge. The shape that embraces the user creates a little cave which you can crawl into, take your feet up and snuggle. Frigg is a fully upholstered sofa consisting of a shell with cushions. The cushions are quilted which provides a 3D effect and creates a good contrast to the smooth surfaces of the shell.

With renowned designer Philippe Stark’s signature forward-thinking fashion and funk, the new Axor Starck Organic faucet collection from Hansgrohe is making waves, so to speak, both for its looks and its ecologically responsible design. Inspired by water, this sculptural line of wall- and deck-mounted sink, bidet, tub and shower hardware does away with rigidity and adopts an organic (as the name would imply!), free-flowing form. Like its muse, the line has a minimalist appeal, combining the mixer and handle into one, complementing earthy as well as contemporary style spaces. Adding brains to beauty, this faucet line is also making waves, so to speak, thanks to its “smart” and efficient use of water – just 3.5 l/min. But when you need a little extra flow, these faucets come equipped with a booster that increases that volume up to 5 l/min. The flow and temperature are controlled separately, but are all part of one sleek, streamlined unit. Choose from over 40 different elements, all part of the new Axor Starck Organic collection.

This modern spa space at the luxurious Viceroy Miami hotel in South Florida is as hot as the weather. A bold blend of black, white and yellow welcomes guests who flock to this hotspot for its sumptuous resort amenities, but who stay for its sleek sense of style. The hotel’s claim to fame is its collection of one-of-a-kind Lasvit lighting sculptures. In the impeccably decorated spa, the piece de resistance is the Chamomilla Chandelier, a collaborative effort between Lasvit and modern designer Philippe Starck. Not to be missed, this daring yellow chandelier installation stands out as much for its brilliant color as for its size. This hand-blown glass chandelier features hand-cut clear and goldenrod facets, and tiny elements that dangle and sparkle like jewels. The color is evocative of candlelight, adding a touch of tradition to this modern light fixture. A bold black feature wall boasts a mirrored fireplace and white shelf details that add interest and complement the cool white marble. Pools cut through the marble floors like streams flowing through a sheet of ice.

There’s two in Europe (Denmark and England) and now there will be one in Carlsbad, California: a LEGOland Hotel. Don’t worry, the place won’t be built out of LEGO’s – at least not the whole thing.
The hotel, complete with a dragon-guarded entrance is slated to open in early April of next year right outside the LEGOland theme park and will feature “interactive LEGO features, themed play areas, family pool and kid’s entertainment,” according to LEGO’s website. The 250 rooms at California’s LEGOland Hotel will all have a theme: Pirate, Kingdom, or Adventure.
The hotel is aimed at housing families who are in town to visit the LEGOland theme park, each room has two sleeping areas, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with sleeping spaces for up to three kids. After all, it’s hard to beat a brand extension you can sleep in.

Creative director Tomas Maier devises all Bottega Veneta interiors, including its first U.S. menswear store, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier believes furniture should be “individualistic” and “invisible,” as he handily proves with his latest home collection, which made its debut at the Milan Furniture Fair in April and will be available in Bottega Veneta stores worldwide in September. That means modular sofas in soft leather or suede, produced in collaboration with fellow Italian firm Poltrona Frau, in addition to designs that Maier calls “floating furniture”—delicate bronze-framed tables and desks whose parchment-covered drawers are suspended below clear-glass surfaces. Elegant in appearance yet disarmingly restrained, the pieces follow Maier’s understated interiors philosophy: “When you come into a room,” the German-born talent says, “the personality of the people who live there should come through.”

The Goccia three dimensional tiles by Lea Ceramiche are actually born out of a collaboration with Kravitz Design. In 2003 Kravitz put together a creative team and set up a design studio. Goccia wall tiles is one of their newest ventures. As with all Lea Ceramiche products you can expect the highest quality from Goccia tiles. Inspired by how light interacts with water (“Goccia” means “drop” in Italian), the concave and convex quality of these tiles also plays with reflected light and generates movement within a space. Pattern, texture, dimension, expression – these tiles offer a lot more than just a way to cover a surface. Goccia three dimensional tiles are available strictly in black or white and in a glossy or matte finish.
