The collection of experimental photography by Luka Klikovac of Belgrade, Serbia pictures the randomness of colorful fluid formations submerged in water. Through Klikovac’s use of close-range image capturing, he has produced a series which pictures oddly-shaped and suspended liquid forms in a glass of water. The artist used solely his camera and advanced lighting system to develop the series which he hopes the public will recognize as mirroring the experience of Rorschach’s psychological inblot test.
It is beyond rare when a collaboration presents such a meaningful display of each others passions, talents, and legacies in a form so natural and yet so surprisingly distinct. Commissioned by Miles Davis for his landmark album “Bitches Brew”, inspired artist Mati Klarwein created this painting for the album’s cover. With the support of Klarwein’s family, led by his son Balthazar who happens to be a respectable skater, Western Edition is proud to introduce “The Bitches Brew” capsule collection. The highlight of the collection includes a four deck series integration of the album’s cover art. The symmetry of the painting is displayed by having both top and bottom graphics on each deck, the light portion on the bottom and the corresponding dark portion on the top.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Hotel Bachmair Weissach, located in the Tegernsee valley of southern Bavaria. The celebrations will be two-fold as 2012 also marks the completion of the extensive renovation on the traditional Bavarian inn. Korbinian Kohler, of the famed Gmund fine paper-manufacturing family, purchased the property in 2010 with a clear vision in mind: to make the hotel into a premier social hub for locals and guests alike. As Kohler explains, “Through Bachmair Weissach I have realized a lifelong dream, by recapturing the sense of endless time that I enjoyed in my youth. Winters as a boy were spent sitting by a warm fire for hours on end in one of the cozy inns at Tegernsee.

Unmistakably a Bentley in its signature British sporting character and high attention to hand-crafted detailing, the EXP 9 F could herald a third Bentley model-line alongside the bespoke Mulsanne and the high performance Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur.
From a designer’s perspective, EXP 9 F was a dream project, the chance to create a completely new type of Bentley. From the very beginning, the design team had a clear vision for the new Bentley SUV, as Dirk van Braeckel, Director of Design, explains: “EXP 9 F had to represent the absolute pinnacle of the sport utility sector, setting a new benchmark for this type of vehicle. The style had to reflect Bentley’s sporting character despite its radically different package and purpose together with sculptured, flowing surfaces in keeping with the Bentley tradition.”
