Jimmy Choo Promotes Co-Creative Director Sandra Choi to Creative Director

Jimmy Choo Celebrates the Launch of the Exclusive Collaboration with Artist Rob Pruitt

Sandra Choi and her former co-creative director, Simon Holloway

After two years in the co-creative director seat at Jimmy Choo, Sandra Choi has been appointed sole creative director at the brand, following the departure of her former fellow creative director, Simon Holloway. Both Choi and Holloway had been co-creative directors since 2011. Holloway is pursuing personal projects, and Choi will remain on board to serve as the sole creative director in Holloway’s leave. Also on her plate: the brand’s handbags, accessories, eyewear and fragrance, bien sur.

Choi, who is also Choo’s niece, started out as an intern at the London-based company while studying at Central Saint Martins. A year into the program, Choi left school to work full time for the company as chief designer of the company’s couture business. Four years later, in 1996, she was appointed director of J. Choo Ltd. and went on to work with Tamara Mellon on design before Mellon’s departure in 2011 when Holloway and Choi were appointed co-creative directors.
