There’s a mystical and otherworldly quality about Brazilian-born photographer Gustavo Lacerda‘s series on albinos. Lacerda’s intimate and ethereal portraits give a lightness and beauty to their milky skin and platinum hair. Their eyes are the most fascinating element to the portraits, with each pair telling an uniquely individual story. Some are tales of longing, some of despair, others are of a simple childhood innocence but all of them are a reminder of an often forgotten, debilitating, genetic disorder.
