Three months after releasing the Coupé version of the car, BMW has introduced its latest collaboration model, the ‘Zagato Roadster’.
As with the coupe’s predecessor, the convertible concept vehicle bases its form off a sweeping hood and long wheelbase, where the
driver sits low inside the cockpit. Its distinctive front-end design, incorporates BMW’s signature low-set kidney grille, complete
with intricate z-design grating, where focused twin circular headlights and a three-dimensional front apron shape the front end of the roadster, as they do with the coupé.
The rear end of displays a more refined sporting edge, where the convertible’s lines are smoothed out for a low-slung appearance. an additional fine line forges a visual connection between the sill and the rear apron to round off the rear end styling. Like those of the coupe counterpart, the ‘BMW Zagato Roadster’ maintains its rear lights arranged behind black tinted glass, where the enclosure extends in a shallow black band around the whole of the rear end, underlining its horizontal geometry.
Depending on how the light hits the body of its exclusive exterior paint finish, the color spectrum ranges from dark grey to a light silver, creating the illusion of a reflective cloak of liquid metal. Brown leather extends from the instrument panel over the door sill and around behind the seats, incorportated alongside its rollbar, an adornment that provides a transition into the predominantly black interior.
