Dom Pérignon & David Lynch
The paths of Dom Pérignon and David Lynch were bound to cross, since both share this same absolute faith for experimentation. They have been exploring the creative force of Dom Pérignon by inventing new forms that express it in surprising and unforgettable ways.
In December 2011, Dom Pérignon unveiled the advertising campaign of the Dom Pérignon 2003 and Dom Pérignon Rosé 2000 Vintages, photographed by David Lynch. The Dom Pérignon campaigns in which David Lynch combines the mesmerizing, dreamlike beauty of his own universe with the mystery and sensuality of Dom Pérignon’s.
After photographing the bottles of Dom Pérignon and Dom Pérignon Rosé, David Lynch reinvented them. Taking inspiration from his photographs, he has given them a new look in a limited edition, designed and signed by the Californian director himself. This limited edition is the ultimate expression of a fruitful collaboration based on absolute shared trust in the power of creation. “It is a process of tuning in and then through experimentation getting something that expresses the essential nature”, comments David Lynch.
“Dom Pérignon by David Lynch” takes the form of two gift boxes: one for Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003, the other for Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2000. For both, David Lynch designed a shield with different patinas, bronze for Dom Pérignon and almost purple for Dom Pérignon Rosé. Thick and metallic, it is marbled with granite tints, glitters of mica.
