One unique feature is a small iPhone-sized wallet that is attached to the bag via a keyring clip covered with a sheath of leather. New Balance, alongside Aussie band Gold Fields and photographer/videographer 13th Witness gives us a preview of their upcoming project, which will be debuting in February 2012. Unfolding their story through photography and a four-part video documentary, this project will focus on a contemporary artist, art director, entrepreneur, musician and fashion designer, which will be released over the next four months. First developed for farmers, Red Wing introduced the 8-inch round toe work boot in 1919. The combination of two traditional styles, round toe boots provided the comfort of an oxford with the durability of a work boot. The benefit of the new style was the round toe design; achieved by eliminating a seam by using one larger piece of leather versus the previous practice of sewing together two smaller leather pieces. This created a more durable boot – as any seam is, by design, a weaker part of a boot.
