Rick Williams, co-owner of Burn Rubber and creator of the Distinct Life has been showcasing a different pair of New Balance sneakers for every day in the month of June. Doing this through what he refers to as his “30 for 30″. Throughout the month he has featured some old classics, some current models, and some yet to be released sneakers. Some of the highlights included the Mita x Undefeated MT580′s, the Burn Rubber MT580′s and today’s teaser picture of the Burn Rubber New Balance that’s coming in 2012. To conclude the Distinct Life x New Balance “30 for 30″ Rick has put together a video to recap the month’s sneakers. The video was shot by Detroit’s media groups Champion Media and The Art Direction. With sounds by Filthy Rockwell, producer of the recently released song “Celebrity” by Big Sean off of his newly released Finally Famous the Album!
Last Friday, Fool’s Gold opened the doors to their latest project; 536 Metropolitan in Brooklyn, New York. The shop will be open Monday through Saturday from noon to 6pm serving all Fool’s Gold music, gear and other trinkets that speak to the Fool’s Gold way. Karmaloop was in attendance and gathered footage of Fool’s Gold member Adam G who helped design and build the store. After the celebration, there was a afterparty at The Westway where A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs spun for the people while Danny Brown was on the mic.

A clip of Theophilus London’s new song “I Stand Alone” debuted this past weekend on HBO in the teaser clip for Season 2 of How To Make It In America. “I Stand Alone” is the first single off Theophilus’ debut album Timez Are Weird These Days, out July 19th on Warner Bros. DJ Khaled makes his face known and shouts out some gibberish every few seconds and this time he’s drinking the now illegal in a few states, Four Loko… plus it taste like shit and grass. I think it’s safe to say we enjoy the song more than the video. There’s quite alot of awkwardness in it; a bunch of folks sitting in a empty condo with moving boxes surrounded, Rick Ross feels it’s necessary to show us his man-boobs and Lil Wayne does what Lil Wayne wants.
