Everyone with a pulse would agree that any journey would be a nothing less than euphoric if you were behind the wheel of sports car like the Audi R8 Spyder V10, but I want to send kudos to Audi for this 2-minute long clip filmed in remote, “un-touristy” parts of Brazil. So… raise the volume, sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Studio Printworks: hand-screened wallpaper that always stands out from the crowd.
Wallpaper has undergone a revolution of late, but Studio Printworks may just be the epicenter. Founded by Temo Callaghan, a veteran of Clarence House and Dennis Shah, a legendary hand-screen printer, they began making waves in 2004.
The two set out to create their own collection of wallpaper, but not just another collection. They wanted something fresh, bold, smart and unique. A collection that was clearly different from the more staid designs that were then the norm.
Their first group of 10 designs were unlike anything else on the market. In 2005, a major article in House & Garden got them underway and Studio Printworks has been stylishly evolving ever since.
Theirdesignsinclude a range of papers from twisted toiles and updated classics to patterns that look innocent at first and then reveal a deeper meaning. Some are purely decorative, others are more surprising.

The Governors Ball announced their 2011 Artist Interview series. Over the coming weeks, Governors Ball will be rolling out interviews with many of the artists performing at this year’s festival, and each will range in style, content, and format. For the first installment, the Gov Ball team caught up with one of the co-headliners, Girl Talk, a few hours before his sold out gig at the Congress Theatre in Chicago. They chatted about his artistic process in the studio, his aspirations to “musically engage” live audiences, and how he wants people to “lose their minds” at his shows.
The Governors Ball Music Festival event will be held June 18 on New York City’s Governors Island. Girl Talk, Pretty Lights, and Empire of the Sun are joined by Big Boi (of Outkast), Neon Indian, People Under The Stars, Mac Miller, Miami Horror, Passion Pit (DJ Set), Reptar, Outasight and other artists to be announced over the coming weeks.
Red Wing released the third installment in their video series, which features the shoe repair department. This team of master cobblers is responsible for the upkeep of well-worn Red Wing Boots and shoes. When the company receives a beat up pair of Red Wings, the repair team goes to work, re-soling and stitching anything that’s come undone. The result is a product that fits as well as it did before the repairs, but can provide support for years to come. Cobbler Jake Illg, who narrates the video, explains Red Wing’s philosophy regarding their product. “We don’t just sell something and say, okay, that’s it. It’s yours now. We help [our customers] out in any way we can.”
