Naoto Hattori’s Surreal Art

Japan-born artist Naoto Hattori makes some “interesting” artworks. After studying graphic design in Tokyo, Hattori moved to New York where he completed a BFA in illustration and has since won a bunch of awards and been featured in respected publications. He says “My vision is like a dream. Whether it’s a sweet dream, a nightmare or just a trippy dream. I try to see what’s really going on in my mind…” If that’s the case, Hattori’s mind is a pretty fantastical place – foxes with human faces as bellies, two-faced alien-types, mutant creatures, and lots of eyeballs.
