The French take on modernist luxury, La Réserve is located on Paris’s Art Deco Place du Trocadero with hilltop views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower. A cinematic take on 1930s elegance, it features a contrasting palette of beiges and black, setting off soaring ceilings and, in public spaces, double windows that are significantly taller than guests.

Far from a normal hotel, however, La Réserve Paris also functions as an extended stay apartment, longer-term getaway or home, with ten apartments in duplex and even triplex formations providing every luxury. Furnishings and furniture include Varenna kitchens and Flos, Vitra and Flexform seating and lamps.

The 10 apartments at La Réserve range from 150 to 300 square meters (with 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms) and include valet parking, and high-tech amenities and business services. Pampering services are also on offer to round out the paradisaical experience to be had deep in the noble 16th arrondissement, with easy access to the city’s highest-end shops and restaurants.

Each spacious apartment has its own housekeeper and concierge, ready to tend to every need, including running errands and arranging in-home spa services. For those with a passion for cooking the hotel can arrange for a personal chef to accompany guests to the local market where they can choose a variety of fresh ingredients. This is followed by a personal cooking class in the guests’ apartment, allowing them to learn about the cooking process from start to finish. Wine tastings and bartending classes are also arranged upon request, or for the musically minded a personal piano teacher trains guests to play a different tune each day. All activities are organized in advance and subject to availability.
