William by Grenson

Founded in 1886 by William Green, Grenson is a footwear brand based in England.  The outfitter of military boots for British soldiers, the company is continuing its reign as a contender in the shoe game to this day.  In 2006 Grenson, along with creative director Tim Little, recharged with a modern take on its traditional heritage and has seen wide ranging success since.  The company is synonymous with many historical figures such as Harry Belafonte, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant, and Montgomery Clift.  They were also summoned to provide the shoes for the Ralph Lauren designed costumes for The Great Gatsby movie in 1974.  Today you can find this iconic brand sitting on the shelves of many of your favorite stores including SAKS, Bloomindale’s, Selfridges, and Topman.

Grenson now gives us the William, an unlined, single-soled brogue.  The shoe also boasts its Goodyear Welting technology that made the company famous during its inception.  Coming in alpine leather, the single sole makes the shoe lighter and easier to wear that a traditional brogue.  We cannot wait to see these in person this fall!
