Legendary film, Il Gattopardo had a cast full of iconic characters dressed in dapper classic styles and now Gucci takes Luchino Visconti’s film and revamps it with the help of Martin Scorsese to be presented at the Cannes film festival.
Gucci continues to praise their heritage and its collection through its essence decade after decade. In line with this philosophy, they have been collaborating with projects to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of film.
Gucci give their support to the Martin Scorsese Film Foundation, which works to preserve and restore cinema classics. This time, Gucci spent $900,000 on restoring two Italian classics: La Dolce Vita (1960) and Il Gattopardo (1963). Il Gattopardo, by Luchino Visconti, is to be presented at the Cannes festival on May 14th.
