Last week I had the privilege of meeting with G-Star and take a look at both their Spring/Summer 2010 collection as well as their Fall/Winter collection. Upon walking down the halls of their showroom you get a sense of heritage and victory for their accomplishments over the past twenty years from creating a distinct identity when it comes to the fusion of denim. Denim still remains the core of the G-Star empire but Spring/Summer 2010 offers a bit more with denim-complementary garments.
One of my favorite elements about G-Star is as a consumer you can find a smooth transition in their collection from street-wear to high-end tailored sophistication. After the are some of our favorite picks from their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.
G-Star Spring/Summer 2010 Men’s Collection
The male denim silhouette is further evolved in the new Low Loose Tapered cut, which features an ultra-low crotch, high volume top section and extreme tapered legs. It comes in a wide selection of washes and finishes, including Raw denim, vintage/worn-in, destroyed, repaired and paint spattered. The Correct Line and Midnight ranges expand the G-Star wardrobe to allow men to wear denim right through the working day and on to any evening social occasion, regardless of its exclusivity.
G-Star Spring/Summer 2010 Women’s Collection
The feminine denim silhouette is further evolved in the new Low Loose Tapered cut – a combination of the boyfriend pant and the skinny. It features an ultra-low crotch, high volume top section and extreme tapered legs and comes in a wide selection of washes and finishes, including Raw denim, vintage/worn-in, destroyed, repaired and paint spattered. The Correct Line and Midnight ranges expand the female wardrobe to allow denim to be worn right through the working day and on to any social occasion, regardless of its exclusivity.
