rock-and-roll-annex-22

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex NYC will conclude its stay in New York on January 3 at 8PM. Don’t fret, The Rock Annex won’t vanish into thin air. It will explore opportunities for a tour that would bring exclusive artifacts to music fans and rock enthusiasts around the world. Over the next month, fans can still experience the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Annex NYC, showcasing rare artifacts from legendary artists including Springsteen, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and its featured exhibit, JOHN LENNON: THE NEW YORK CITY YEARS.

The Rock Annex was recently honored with two awards for environmental graphics for the JOHN LENNON: THE NEW YORK CITY YEARS exhibit. Ralph Applebaum Associates, the preeminent exhibition planning and design firm, received the 2009 Design Annual Communication Arts Environmental Graphics Award and a Silver Award in Environmental Graphic Design from the 39th Annual Creativity Awards.

JOHN LENNON: THE NEW YORK CITY YEARS represents a decade of freedom in New York City during the era of love, peace and rock and roll.  The exhibit was curated by Yoko Ono and Jim Henke, VP of  Exhibitions and Curatorial Affairs for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc.  Yoko Ono generously loaned all of the New York-centric artifacts and films in this exhibition, some on display for the first time ever.

Music fans can still visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland.
