STS9 has been getting some serious play over the last week. For the “cool kids”, STS9 is a electronic band fusing instruments releasing their new album “Ad Explorata” on Tuesday December 8th.
Over the last three years they’ve had fundraiser after they visited the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. The band’s tour stopped through The Crescent City in the fall of 2008 just over 3 years after Hurricane Katrina left her indelible mark. What they found was a spectacular collision of failure and triumph. A catastrophic break-down of a system that often moralized perfection and protection being held up, only, by the ineradicable love and will of it’s people to look forward and attempt to make things right.
