On the one year anniversary of Barack Obamas election, the TASCHEN Store New York invites you to the launch of Design for Obama: Posters for Change. A Grassroots Anthology.

During the lead up to the 2008 presidential election, hundreds of artists and designers from all over the world expressed their support for the Obama candidacy by designing personal and unique posters that emphasized Obama’s message of hope and change, and submitted them for a free download to college senior Aaron Perry-Zucker’s website www.designforobama.org . One piece in particular, entitled “Did The Right Thing,” was sent by artist Don Button days after the election, which caught the attention of filmmaker Spike Lee. The result is a book of over 200 designs that consists of the very best contributions to the site from around the globe.
