This documentary tells the story of the band DJARARA (JAH-RA-RA). They became a beacon of cultural pride for a new immigrant community constantly plagued by discrimination and shame. This group of young immigrants took an ancient music from the hills of Haiti and reinvented it on the streets of Brooklyn.
