GM is set to unveil a 2-seater, 2-wheeled urban electric prototype in NY (just mentioning that GM is planning to unveil anything seems surreal at the moment). GM and Segway are partners in this project, and the way they describe the P.U.M.A. (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility Vehicle) is “a two-seater, two-wheeled electric vehicle that moves people around in urban space, quickly, quietly, and cleanly”. Although I have nothing against the noisy, crowded and polluted streets of my beloved city…the concept sounds refreshing.
The P.U.M.A will has a range of 35 mph (56 km), and will carry two or more passengers (depending on future seat configurations). Lets see how it goes. The last thing I need is a P.U.M.A crash to stall my morning commute.
