Pearl Jam has released a short documentary on the making of the band’s upcoming album, Backspacer, on MySpace Music. The ten-minute film features the band performing three new songs, “Just Breathe,” “Got Some,” and the album’s first single, “The Fixer.” It also features footage of the band in the studio and wandering around Seattle.
Frontman Eddie Vedder discusses his songwriting process, saying that it’s like “capturing lightning in a bottle… [the songs] were easy to write, lucky for me they were evocative of something right away.” Backspacer will be released in the US on September 20.
