Kiss is currently finalizing Sonic Boom, the band’s first new studio album in 11 years, which will be released on October 6 exclusively at Walmart stores. The new album will be part of a three-disc package featuring a CD of re-recorded hits and a live DVD with performances from a recent show in Buenos Aires. Frontman Gene Simmons said in a statement: “The world’s biggest retailer had better get ready for the hottest band in the world and hire more cashiers.” The band will open the release of the CD set with a show at Detroit’s Cobo Arena on September 25.
