Tour’e was studying fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology when he landed an assistant stylist position working for Chris Campbell at Departures Magazine. While working as an assistant he was being mentored by stylists and designers such as Derick Roche, Dao Yi Chow, Chris Campbell, and Patricia Field.
As he proved his work ethic Toure was given the opportunity to help style for editorial magazines and TV shows such as Make Me A Super Model, Top Chef, Harpers Bazarr, Robb Report, More, Surface, Highlights, East West, Black book, Food & Wine and Upstreet magazine. Since then he has become a sought after stylist from editors at Nylon, Bello Magazine and is known as a positive, witty, and energetic individual.
He has had the pleasure of working with photographers such as Bradford Gregory, David Romer, Maciek Jasik, and Karl Simone. Though Toure continuously works as a stylist he is also a talented designer getting his start as an intern at Oscar de la renta and continuing on to work for brands such as Oumlil and Sean John. Toure is now working on his own ready to wear collection (Torre nior) and is set to debut at Fashion Week Feburary 2010.
