Don’t Upset the Rhythm – Noisettes

Aesthetically retro, but sonically progressive band the Noisettes have created a refreshingly euphonic blend of punk, rock, soul, and blues. They embody the funk and organic originality that has sparked the success of other UK artists like Estelle and Amy Winehouse. The video for their high energy dance record Don’t Upset the Rhythm is a reflection of their 60′s influence stitched together with the pop influence of today. Punk rock single Don’t Give Up shows the diversity in their musical approach and ability. Their second album is called Wild Young Hearts and was released April 20 2009, and reached #7 on the UK charts.

Recently heard their music, love their sound. The artists coming out of the UK seem to be tapping into a ‘rhythm’ that American artists have yet to master, with exception of a few. Look forward to hearing more from them.
