Afro-Punk Festival

afropunk09_lrg

This month, BAMcinématek celebrates the fifth annual Afro-Punk Festival with a tribute to Spike Lee, political documentaries, live music, a skate park, the Afro-Punk Block Party, and more. Additional highlights include week-long revivals of François Truffaut’s Mississippi Mermaid and Akira Kurosawa’s Kagemusha. Also in July, don’t miss Animation Weekend with great programs from Animation Block Party and the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
