We hardly report on cars – or car companies (because they’re busy taking our tax dollars, instead of letting us choose which company we’d like to buy from) – but we believe California’s Tesla is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future.
Tesla recently announced (this last Wednesday) – the Model S - a new vehicle, which is 100% electric, with a 300 mile driving range on a 45 minute charge. 0-60 MPH in 5.6 seconds and a touchscreen center console for integration with your cell phone, gps or any other bluetooth device. Photos:
While this car is a bit pricey (with a $50k base price) and is slated for release in 2011, we are co-signing the Tesla brand as a long term winner, for everyone.
