Here is a first look at one of the new frames from the Dita Spring 2009 collection, entitled “Statesman”. The name perfectly describes the looks of the frame, which nicely puts together a more heavy Wayfarer with a lighter metal based design. “The Statesman” comes in overall four colorways and is already now available for purchase. I was a bit hesitate in posting this on the site, only for the reason that alot of folks may not truly get the joke behind this message brought to you by the Brooklyn Tourism Board. then I quickly remembered that our global readers are among some of the brightest minds in the creative industry let along the green and blue planet and will cleverly get the message of Willamsburg (in Brooklyn) popularity of the past several years.
And Yes, Brooklyn will and forever more go hard.

When is enough, enough? After years of not finding clothing they way they wanted, designers/brothers of Michigan put their gifts of extensive art background and jewelry design to talent and began drawing out clothing they felt spoke to how they felt and wanted to see which did not exist. They’ve been able to create wearable art pieces if you will, graphics are created by hand, patters are their own and invent their own fabric, all from their very own Blood, Sweat and Tears. I’ve personally been anxiously waiting for the launch of Android Homme ever since my friend Javier Laval first spoke of his new venture. Android Homme fills a void that has been overlooked in the high-end footwear industry, they’ve chosen to put comfort and quality design together as one which is something I believe should be a necessity to when it comes to footwear. Android Homme also carries accessories in their collection. Be sure to keep your browser here as we’ll keep you updated on Android Homme.
edo competition has just released what they claim to be the fastest Lamborghini ever. The Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 has a top speed of 224 mph (360 kph). Only five units of the LP 710 will be produced.
At the base of the LP 710 is a Murciélago LP 640. After disassembling the supercar, edo tuners make modifications to the body work, engine, exhaust, interior, tires, and wheels to bring the car up to their racing standards. All mods are completed within three months.
Surprisingly, the company seems more interested in the design of the car than its power. At the heart of the design is fashion magnet Christian Audigier, who chose the matte black paint for the car. Inside, Audigier embroidered his own name into the seats, while utilizing a different set of fabrics and materials for the seats, door paneling, and center console. World-reknowned artist Marcus Pfeil worked with Audigier to create an airbrush design for the car.
Each of the five Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 production units will be custom made, giving the customer a chance to veto some of the designs and make a more personal choice. If you purchase one, you also get the opportunity to run laps in your new supercar at the oval track in either Papenburg, Germany, or Nardo, Italy. edo will even lend out race driver Patrick Simon to teach you a few tricks for your new car. A gritty saga about a notorious 20th century South American figure, as told by a visionary director. Fans of Entourage might find this story familiar, but they will be disappointed to learn that their favorite leading man, Vinnie Chase, was overlooked for what-on the surface-feels like the sequel to Medellín. (Check out Medellinthefilm.com if you don’t follow.) Sure, Pablo Escobar and Che Guevara may exhibit drastic differences-one a Colombian drug lord and brutal murderer and the other an Argentine revolutionary-but I have a sneaking suspicion that Steven Soderbergh’s new epic drama will know the same fate as Billy Walsh’s post-Queens Boulevard flop. But I could be wrong. Continue reading “Documenting a Revolutionary: Che Readies Itself for Upcoming Release” »

London-based Lovegrove Studio has redefined the term, “living in a bubble” with a futuristic take on the mountain chalet. Geared to stand at an altitude of 2,100 meters in Piz la Ila, Alta Badia, Italy, the ultra-modern Alpine Capsule will not only rival the spectacular views of its surroundings, it will actually reflect them in its unique mirror-finish facade. Resembling the reflective fluidity of mercury, Alpine Capsule is intended to “de-materialize” its appearance from the outside, while from the inside the one-way mirror coating allows overnight guests to enjoy unobstructed 360-degree views of the Italian Alps. The interior is a blend of modern, minimalist and soft three-dimensional style designed for relaxation. Apart from its contemporary concept and look, Alpine Bubble is also a sustainable design, entirely off-the-grid and powered by alternative energy sources such as photovoltaic technology integrated with vertical wind turbines. Construction will begin in 2010. Continue reading “Living in a Futuristic Sustainable Bubble” »
