The Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion

A futuristic capsule situated in New York’s Central Park, the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, showcases the work of 20 international contemporary artists whose featured art is inspired by Chanel’s emblematic and iconic quilted bag. Commissioned by Karl Lagerfeld and curated by Fabrice Bousteau, editor-in-chief of Beaux Arts, the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion transports visitors into a world full of unexpected surprises, luxury, glamour and emotion. Seeping with visuals and interactive experiences that exude everything from lust, materialism and sex to desire, longing and passion, the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion is as unique on the inside as it is externally. A statement in and of itself, the exhibition, like its inspiration-fashion-will travel the world, leaving behind a lasting impact on all those who come in contact with it.

Throughout 2009/2010, the exhibit will travel to London, Moscow and Paris.
