Imagine if Romero Britto’s art and Banksy’s art met in a skate-park and “did” it. That is Chivitz.
Hailing from Sao Paolo, Brazil; Chivitz fuses his view on the hardships of Brazilian street life & skate-culture with aspects of cubism & pop art into his graffiti. His work is mostly light & charismatic with only faint hints of social commentary.
He is particularly fond of skateboarding (culture) & hip-hop. He note’s that the base most of his works are purple, gray, black, white and magenta in order to give his works a distinct look & feel while accentuating the bleak, mundane character of life in Sao Paolo.
