With all the hype about the iPhone, hardly anyone is taking notice of what’s cooking at T-Mobile. T-Mobile is working with handset manufacturer HTC and web titan Google to produce the HTC Dream. Imagine the iPhone, now imagine every service that Google offers online (Gmail, Google Talk, Google Docs, Search, Maps, etc), NOW imagine being able to install any application (like live video conferencing or video streaming to the web). Combine all three, that’s the dream.
Anything you ever want, it will be on the dream, 3G Speeds EVERYWHERE, GPS, Google Maps, Search, the best restaurants in town (and the ability to reserve a table there), your friends locations and activities (through facebook or myspace) and more.
I’d say it’s fairly safe to snap up T-Mobile stock (Deutsche Telekom) now because it will not be a game when the Dream is released. This phone is scheduled to be announced in October of 2008, so get ready to wait in line.

It was a shock to everyone when the news came that legendary artist/producer Isaac Hayes died that Sunday morning at his home in Memphis. Hayes was a highly influential musician and created masterpieces that will span the length of time and inspire future artists to take their own, unique path when it comes to making music. With this 30 minute mix that DJ Wonder put together for the Shade 45 morning show, he mixes Hayes’ original work with dozens of hip hop classics (Wu Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Dr. Dre, Ludacris, etc.) that sampled some of Hayes’ best work. Take it from me, this mix is not just something to put on and listen to in the background at your cubicle. Rather, it’s a history lesson on Isaac Hayes and his longstanding influence on hip-hop, R&B, and all around good music. Enjoy and R.I.P. Isaac Hayes.
Matthew Waldan, creator of the brand Nooka and NookaNooka will have an art exhibition at the Halycon store in Dumbo, Brooklyn on Thursday September 18th. Waldman will present a new set of acrylic on canvas painting – all in the theme “Life on Mars”; the show will feature some new small sculptures as well.
I’ve been paying close attention to the emergence of Dubai and if you’ve been paying daily attention to Limite, you would already know that! More importantly is what is Dubai really doing!; that’s both a statement and question in one. I’ve never been to Dubai but let me give you a small update: 1) Dubai is now housing 25% of the worlds cranes!, 2) everything they’re building is more than twice the size of whatever they’re basing their ideas from (they have the tallest skyscraper at 1.2 miles high, an amusement park twice the size of Disney World), 3) if you don’t spend more than $150,000 annually, chances are you will not get to get to enjoy the treasures of Dubai. Please don’t get me wrong, this is in no way, shape or form, an attack to Dubai; I wish them the best of success. My question is “How far will they go?” which leads us into my posting…
Timelinks, a Dubai design firm has unveiled plans to make a pyramid!! Not for show-and-tell, but to house people… one million people. Featuring an efficient vertically and horizontally running public transportation system, and generate all of the energy it needs.
As you read this and think “No way in hell!”, Timelinks says “Yes Way!!”, they’ve already set about patenting the design as well as the technology that would make this possible. The structure, nearly a whole square mile by design, would use a combination of steam, wind, and other alternative energy-gathering methods to keep itself entirely “off the grid”; along with “green spaces” to provide agricultural space to provide food and green-based commerce.
Nike isn’t disappointing me at all this Fall with these Air Max 90. This AM90 is a pretty solid release with a black make up and gold accents. A mixture of full grain leather, patent leather, and mesh is featured on this new release. If you like what you see check with your local Nike retailers for more info.
Berlin is one of UNESCO Creative Cities of design and it has a distinctive and strong creative subculture. But it takes a while for the cool aspects to become apparent because Berlin is not a city with instant sex appeal like Paris or Rome.
In Berlin, the Mitte district (German for middle or center), a historic district formerly part of East Berlin. Now, it is somewhat edgier than Brooklyn but also similar with its refurbished buildings, one-of-a-kind designer fashion shops, cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, art galleries, studios and an overall creative vibe that attracts the city’s designers, architects, photographers and artists. Mitte is also the historical heart of Berlin with most of the main sights and many media companies within its borders.
Lux 11’s name gives derives from Rosa Luxemburg, the German champion of socialist causes, after whom the street is also named. The hotel name also refers to luxury and light (lux is light in Latin).
Lux 11 is a chic 72-room apartment hotel opened in 2005 in a renovated building that started as residences in the late 19th century. It was later converted to an office building from which the KGB was apparently in direct contact with Moscow during the Cold War. We don’t know if this is true but we like the story.
John Legend’s collaboration with Andre 3000 quietly floated under the radar back in June, maybe it was due to all the hype behind The Carter 3, although it was an excellent track and new material from Legend for some time. “Green Light” is one of Legend’s more unique tracks, a step away from his usual down-temp crooning about women, this track is also about women but in a more colorful manner, and with the help of 3000, they couldn’t have come up with a better track about trying to get a beautiful women to leave the club with you.
This new MSTRKRT remix takes the original track and takes it to a new club level with a heavier bass, guaranteed to have that starlet excited to leave after this song.

Bolt and Phelps are the only people eligible for medals. Why not treat yourself to a gold, silver or bronze metallic zubs!, no need to wait another 4 years. Matthew Waldman, creator of Nooka chose to stay away from the fall colors and do new fall finishes. These will be available soon at fine stores as well as the Nooka website sometime in September.
